Nikon AF Nikkor 70-300mm F4-5.6 D AF Zoom Lens 

We have tested this lens and found the following fault:

Mechanical Condition - Very Good - Zoom does not extend

The lens mounts smoothly onto the camera and communicates all information correctly.

Auto and manual focus is fully operational and smooth from infinity through to close focus. 

There is a fault with the zoom part of the lens. The zoom barrel does not work as it should - when you twist the zoom, the lens should move in / out as the lens zooms. However, this does not work. You can manually push / pull the zoom by using your hand and the rim of the lens - but the actual zoom barrel does not move in / out and you twist

The lens exposes correctly through the F stop range.

The selection switches move easily into position and without any resistance.

Optics Condition - Poor - spares or repair

There are marks  in the optics and as a consequence images appear cloudy, so we are describing this item as FAULTY / SPARES / REPAIRS. 

We have not tested any further once we have found this fault, so we cannot state with certainly if there are other faults.

Due to optical condition we are sellings spares or repair

Cosmetic Condition - Excellent

The rubbers are in excellent condition and not slack, discoloured or sticky

The lens is nice to handle and operate.

The exterior casing is in excellent condition and doesn't have any paint loss or scratches

The lettering and model specification markings are clear and not faded

The filter thread is in excellent condition and a filter, lens cap and hood can be attached.

Please note, this is a Nikon AF classic lens with auto and manual focus. However, it does not have the newer AF-S built in / internal focus motor required for autofocus compatibility on the Nikon bodies stated below and so, will only offer manual focus on the following DSLRs.  Please check your camera body for full compatibility.
